6 months!

Blogging every couple months isn't bad right? Or am I just trying to make myself feel better about something that's been weighing on my mind. So much has happened in these last couple months... and here goes my attempt at catching you up!

We started baby food around 4.5 months and I've been convinced that Gray would like anything we gave him... until today. Guess he likes avocados as much as me! He wouldn't even have a second glance and gave me the "really mom?" look. So funny. I'd say his favorites are sweet potatoes and bananas since he smiles more with those, haha. (disclaimer: I hate bananas, but I know their health benefits so I'm trying to be an adult while around them. But its hard. So hard.)
First taste of oatmeal- yum!
Another first was going to the pool! It's so much fun to watch Grayson experience new things. He LOVED the water! I can't wait to put him in swim lessons.

Easter 2014 (sorry Dad, we coudn't resist those bunny ears, haha)

5 months old and growing like a weed!

Look at that bright eyed boy!

Naptime

The camera has been playing trick on me lately... This boy appears to be 4 years old in the next pics! Weird glimpse into the future for us.

Fun visiting with birth families :)

Teaching Grayson how to roll over..

Some big news: Matt accepted a job flying for an emergency medical company in Moab. The change came much quicker than we expect, but we had to jump on the chance! The idea of no longer flying tours and doing something much more rewarding sounded great. As Grayson and I put our things together, Matt traveled back and forth during that month. We got our house ready to sell and moved our family to Moab just a few weeks ago. It's been so good to all be together. I'm not a fan of long distance relationships. Especially with a little one.
(it was really hard to leave this place. Change is good right? Thats what we keep telling ourselves. On to our next adventure...)

I had never been to Moab before which seems crazy since I grew up in Utah. It's such a beautiful place! Small town, yes. Walmart or Target, no. But it was definitely more than I expected, haha. Not sure what I had imagined honestly.

One thing is for sure, we are much closer to family! Which means visits will happen more often :) My sister came down for a couple days and we had to explore a little...

You could say we love our new backyard!

I think I can get used to this place :) We are especially loving all our time with dad. Since he is on call, we get to see him a LOT more with this job.

Visiting dad at work

And then one day Grayson decided he could sit up REALLY good!

Because I love this face.

He loves watching kids play on the playground

And hello to SIX months!!

This kid is so much fun! I seriously cant believe it's been over 6 months now. He is rolling over like crazy and I cant decide if I should help him learn how to crawl or not. He LOVES his jumper and will go crazy jumping until he falls asleep, which happens almost daily. It's so funny!

And that's where I'm going to stop tonight. I have so many more pictures I want to share, but I'll keep you all hanging for another minute ;)

Going Private

Yes, it's true. We feel the need to make our blog a little more private now. Please leave your email if you want to stay updated... Thanks in advance :)  Oh and don't be afraid to ask for an invite! You don't think I stalk blogs too? ;)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How could anyone give this skinny-licious, long-legged boy 3 more shots in a matter of seconds? Well they did just that at his 4 (and a half) month visit- and he was NOT happy! Luckily it only lasted a few seconds. Grayson is in the 4% for weight (13lbs) and 75% for height (26"). Healthy, happy, and the cutest thing I ever saw.

His new tricks include: blowing raspberries, babbling, standing/bouncing whenever possible, using his hands to grab anything in sight, sticking his tongue out, & wooing all the ladies with his toothless grin ;)

Like father, like son.
Grayson loves watching movies, being outdoors, eating (haha), and playing at the pool. Okay, the last one isn't so much like his dad.

Best Friends <3
Because what other friend would lick your throw up, be your footstool/recliner & entertainment, let you tug her loose skin (sorry Bell), and be the first responder to your cries?

You & Me
Some of my favorite moments are just you and me, Grayson. Your still as cuddly as ever and it seriously melts me, stopping me in my tracks to enjoy the moment.

Some of my favorites are you smiling & giggling in your sleep
Such a curious boy- you want to tour the house a million times over with me

You always look so handsome for church
Because who wants to go to bed anyway?
4 months OLD!
Singing songs/cuddling before bedtime (and taking pics, haha) is the best way to end our nights
Love you forever Gray Gray!!

trip to Utah and more!

How is it possible you are almost 3 months?! I'm starting to understand the whole kids growing up too fast thing now. But its been so exciting to watch you learn and grow each day. Here's a boat load of pictures from this last month (mama has a problem with putting the camera down sometimes- maybe if you weren't so darn cute!)...
That bear is so special to us because your birth mom has the same exact one!
Right after your 2 month shots- so sad :( But you were a champ!!
You LOVE to smile and coo. Such a happy, content baby you are.
You proved to sleep through anything after your first hockey game. And those lights were just mesmerizing!
First day at church and lookin' handsome!
You helped me study for my nursing boards exam and guess what?! I passed!! And couldn't have done it without you :)
Taking walks is one of our favorite things to do! You love being carried close and I just love staring at that precious face of yours. You couldn't get any more perfect.
Aunt Teri is the best and you loved her instantly! She made the road trip up to Utah so much more fun. Not to mention her car maintenance skills that came in handy along the way...
We spent a couple weeks in Utah meeting/visiting family and friends. Everyone loved you and just couldn't get enough time with you. Even I found myself jealous of other people holding you! But at the end of the day, you were mine! :) I worried about how you would sleep away from home, but you did awesome. You've been sleeping 6-8 hours since you were just 6 weeks old! Such a blessing for us all! ;)

Your cousins couldn't stand it and were excitedly waiting in the windows for us when we arrived :) I may have had an anxiety attack thinking about all the those little hands hugging and kissing you as they insisted on doing. It took me a few days, but I eventually relaxed about you getting sick or something.

And the proud grandparents/great-grandparents...

And remember that one morning I was able to catch that cute sneeze of yours?! ;) Ha! I live for those...

We watched olympics by night while holding hands. Oh do I love my cuddly little guy!

We were showered with love and gifts from all sides of our family. How grateful we are for them!! We headed home with quite the stash of clothes, blankets, books, and other things. Here's the only picture I have from those parties! Of course your talented aunt Teri made it!

Your mama's brother and sisters think you're the cutest thing in the world! (because you are of course)

Shopped till we dropped with grandma. We especially had fun looking in all the mirrors along the way ;)
Made a few calls to your girlfriends... which you only have one... and that's me :)

Here's a few other pics of you having fun with those silly cousins of yours:
Weren't a big fan of the pink stroller and I don't blame ya ;)

Celebrated cousin Abby's 2nd bday!
You loved being held by the oldest cousin (on mom's side). He will be on his mission when you reach his age!
Maren just checking out those fingernails of yours
We had so much fun, but it was time to come home to Dad and Bella girl who we missed SO very much.
Just in time for Valentines day <3
and this beautiful weather!
Nothing like sleeping in your own bed huh?
Sadly we had to replace most of your newborn clothes with 3 month ones :(  You are growing so fast!
And this was today. Right BEFORE you had a major blow out and went straight to the bathroom sink. Stinker!!
